Yoga Holidays in Morocco
Our unique holidays combine Yoga or Pilates with a rich variety of cultural experiences; some yoga holidays in Morocco also combine with dancing or singing.
Taroudant is the perfect place to practise yoga because the warmth helps you gain extra flexibility – even in the winter because the town is the warmest in Morocco at that time. The local tortoises are a good indicator – they don’t need to hibernate because it’s fit to bask in the sun all year round!
The staff you have over there, without exception, are very special and lovely people. I had the feeling at times that I was not in simply a guest-house, rather a spiritual community – such was the gentleness, willingness and friendliness of all of them. Warmly informal and very effective, and such a great sense of humour! A Mullis
The calm and relaxation of yoga combines well with the reflective and meditative aspects of Moroccan culture. Rejuvenated and energised, you will enjoy the livelier aspects of your surroundings such a trip to the souk or a hike in the mountains.
We fully understand special and cleansing diets. Lots of lovely local nuts, oils, olives, fresh fruit and vegetables are available in this area of Morocco.
Jane the owner of the guest house has many years’ experience of a variety of forms of Yoga and Pilates and she, together with the experienced Moroccan staff, have much experience of organising and hosting yoga retreats to meet your individual needs.
Just to assure you we had a wonderful holiday. It really couldn’t have been better. Sue Woolley, Yoga Leader October 2016
This is a wonderful Guest House run by an exceptional team of experienced, local staff, whose hospitality warmth and friendship made this a memorable experience. I can’t praise Latifa and her team highly enough.
The accommodation is excellent and the food, served on the roof terrace, is a culinary delight. An artistic display of dishes was produced daily, all created from home recipes, each one healthy and mouth watering. As well as benefiting from daily Yoga, our group had the opportunity to gain an insight into Moroccan life by participating in authentic activities and seeing first hand the results of the charitable project work in progress. A truly special place, we all returned from La Maison Anglaise, Refreshed, Relaxed & Renewed. I look forward to returning. Trip Advisor Review 11 October 2015
I visited here (again)! as I loved it so much, for a Yoga week in Jan 2016. Once again amazing hospitality by the owner and her incredible staff. Wonderful fresh food daily and lots !! Comfy rooms decorated in traditional style. Big airy guesthouse, with relaxing indoor lounge and rooftop sun terrace for relaxing on. A must place to stay in Taroudant. Cultural experiences and guided walks available too. Trip Advisor Review 13 March 2016.
For everyone it had been a deeply nourishing and expansive experience, the yoga and the coaching being a part of it but the sense of safety and holding was greatly helped by the level of care all the staff showed towards them. Women’s Retreat Leader Olivia Seck. Sept 2018
