Tutor: Jill Blandford
Jill Blandford is a Dru Yoga, Yoga Dance & Dru Meditation teacher with over 12 years’ experience of working with a whole variety of groups.
Dru Yoga is a flowing form of yoga, encouraging ease in the physical body & therefore, peace of mind. It is a potent form of stress relief.
Over the years, Jill has developed her own particular style of yoga to make it accessible to all ages and abilities. As well as weekly classes in her local community, she offers regular classes within the voluntary sector – for mixed ability groups, people living with dementia, people suffering from poor mental health (MIND), young people living in shelters and Carers – to name but a few.
Jill set up a YouTube Channel ‘Outside Lives Body & Soul’ to support people feeling isolated during Lockdown. She also helped produce online wellbeing resources for schools – and also families having to home-educate during this challenging time.
Jill ensures that she facilitates varied, bespoke classes to individual and group needs: Jill’s sessions, in person or online, promote gentle development and a sense of being at ease with oneself.
As well as Dru Yoga Sequences, Jill enjoys sharing a whole variety of techniques & offerings in her sessions: including Yoga Nidra, Restorative Yoga, Sound Bath Relaxations & Cacao Ceremonies.
Enabling people to become more flexible, unlocking energy and living healthier lives is Jill’s chief motivation as Dru Practitioner. Her stated intent is to promote a practice of yoga and meditation which seeks to facilitate movement and flexibility and imbue enhanced feelings of wellbeing – a sense of peace, perhaps, amidst the fluid, ever-changing circumstances and pressures of modern life.
Jill is also an experienced Ayurvedic Yoga Massage Therapist & offers workshops to teach people how to share relaxing massage with family & friends.
