Joey Bull occupies a unique place in the British fitness industry. She first came to attention in 1997 when she won the first of her four UK fitness titles and she has been present in magazines, papers on TV and radio ever since. In fact the most recent of her many magazine covers saw her become a national fitness magazine covergirl at 55!
A regular newspaper and magazine columnist, Joey has a regular monthly fitness advice hour on national BBC radio.
Her nine workout DVDs have sold around the world and been dubbed into several languages including Chinese, Russian, French and German. And her book – Tidy the Temple – combined very honest and open autobiography with health and fitness advice, an array of meal recipes and a 28-day exercise and meal plan.
A lifelong love of the outdoors and its sterner challenges has seen Joey scale some of the world’s great peaks, ascend to over 20,000ft in the Himalayas and represent Great Britain in Adventure Races tackling some of the harshest jungles and seas.
By contrast her ballet background has forged a huge passion for dance and she also teaches dance to children and adults.
Even after more than 35 years in the health and fitness world, Joey has remained at the forefront of developments and practices. She has been conducting online PT and group sessions from her broadcast quality studio for many years and this continues to enable her to reach clients around the world or those nearby but unable to get out of their house or place of work.
