She has sung, performed and taught worldwide and has a life long love of Morocco, so is especially happy to teach at the superb La Maison Anglaise Ecolodge.
Her style is informal, inclusive, & energetic. She brings a wealth of songs taught by ear and stories from home and her travels around the UK and Ireland, Bhutan, Scandinavia, the African rainforest (where she was initiated into indigenous Baka women’s singing) as well as songs gathered from world tours with her band Baka Beyond.
Since 1993 she has made many visits to the African Rainforest in Cameroon, to sing and live with the Baka Pygmies. The collective spiritual singing of the Baka women has informed and inspired her musical development. This led to setting up the acclaimed world-music band Baka Beyond in 1993, melding African rhythms with Celtic melodies. The band continue to perform internationally.
She has a passion for teaching, and a love of bringing people together in rhythm and song.
