Holiday Tutor: Faith Watson
Faith has been running Harmony Singing workshops since the late 1980s and is an original member of the Natural Voice Network. Last year she moved from Manchester to North Wales. Whilst this is a step towards reducing her work commitments, she has no plans to retire completely any time soon. She is still involved in 1 regular group in Manchester, and she continues to run a programme of one-off days and residentials around the UK. Faith has been involved in delivering singing holidays abroad since 2008 and she is very excited to be returning for a second holiday at La Maison Anglaise with Holidays with Heart.
Faith always brings a wonderful variety of songs to her workshops, including some of her own original songs and arrangements, and she is particularly known for her love of crunchy jazz harmonies. She is passionate about making her workshops accessible to everyone so she tailors her choice of songs to suit the group on each holiday. There are always some short, simple songs, offering a quick reward, and some ‘meatier’ songs that take a bit longer to learn, giving those who want it an opportunity to stretch themselves and giving the whole group a tremendous sense of satisfaction when it all comes together.
Faith is a member of the acapella group “The Lovenotes”.
At the heart of all Faith’s work there remains a love of acapella singing and the belief that everyone, no matter what their level of skill, confidence, or experience, can enjoy the thrill of singing in harmony.
