With over 14 years of teaching experience, Dr Helen Jones is an accomplished artist and educator who brings her warmth, passion, and deep expertise to every art adventure. A Senior Lecturer and Subject Leader for Art PGCE at the University of Chester, Helen holds a First-Class Honours degree in Fine Art, a PGCE in Secondary Art, an MA in Art Education (Distinction), and a Doctorate in Art Education.

Having taught art internationally, from Tuscany and Rome to the Congo and Finland, Helen now shares her love of travel sketching and expressive mixed media through her Art Education company The Art Doctor UK. Having previously travelled to Morocco, she brings a unique appreciation for its rich patterns, architecture, and colour palette,  and never travels without her sketchbook. Her workshops are known for their joyful, confidence-building atmosphere, blending creative discovery with cultural immersion
